A few days before Christmas, my magician brother Drum announced that he would be leaving for Dakar, Senegal, at about 6am on Boxing Day. I was fairly pissed off at this, declared that Boxing Day was supposed to be for family and why the hell was he swanning off to West Africa anyway?
