The Plus One

My debut novel, published in 2018. I find it ever so slightly annoying when people refer to their books as their ‘babies’ but here I am being a big old hypocrite because this was my first child. I wrote it while working at Tatler, which is possibly why it’s about a journalist called Polly who works at a posh magazine (Posh People), and is one day sent up north to interview the playboy son of a duke.

He’s called Jasper Montgomery and he’s very dashing but I can’t tell you anything else about the plot without giving you spoilers. I’ve always wanted to write books that make people laugh and this was my first stab at it, so I hope it does just that. Very thrillingly, someone is currently writing a film script of it, so FINGERS CROSSED.
