I know I’ve grumbled about ‘novelty’ lattes before, but it’s got worse. Honestly, it’s as if the people who are in charge of coffee shops are on drugs.

Orange Spiced Latte (Pret), Spiced Brownie Hot Chocolate (Eat), Winter Berry Latte (Caffe Nero), Honey and Almond Hot Chocolate (Starbucks), Gingerbread and Cream Latte (Costa), Millionaire’s Mocha (M&S), Spiced Gingerbread Latte (AMT), Sticky Toffee Latte (Costa, again), Caramel Fudge Hot Chocolate (Costa you’re outdoing yourself) and so on. Is this really what people fought two world wars for?

Although NONE of the above are as bad as Tesco this year, who have come up with the sandwich below.

The chocolate and cherry sandwich comes on cinnamon bread, apparently. You should probably wash it down with a Winter Berry Latte.
