I went to see a preview of Eddie the Eagle last night. Not the man, don’t be daft. The new film about the man, the least likely Olympic hero in history. It starts Taron Egerton (Kingsman, Testament of Youth) and Hugh Jackman. You know who he is. Wolverine. Plus Tim McInnerny Darling from Blackadder being a baddie.

It’s out on 1 April and you must go. I cried twice, which I didn’t even do when I was eight and watched Black Beauty. It’s a totally silly but totally joyful film with the kind of soundtrack that you tap your feet along to in the cinema. Or I did anyway, when I wasn’t crying.
